About Me

My name is Keisha the Wander Lily.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I caught the travel bug a few years back and I’ve been sick ever since. So far I’ve been to 8 countries in 3 continents. I’ve also been to a few states in the U.S. most notably New York, California and Florida.

I was inspired to start this blog after joining the Facebook page #GLT Girls Love Travel.  These ladies are fearless, many are solo travelers, many are mothers, there are members of all ages and ethnicity living all over the world. Watching and reading about their adventures truly rocked me to the core and made me step my travel game up. You never know what will happen in life so its now or never. I’ve got a bucket list that could fill an entire book and some how, some way, I am going to check off every single destination.

Now I’m not a full time traveler or an experienced blogger, but man that sure sounds like a dream job. Traveling the world and getting paid to play. Ah, a moment of silence for being responsible and broke. LoL!

I am 36 years old and currently living in South Florida. I work a full time job and go to school part-three quarters time to be a licensed clinical social worker. So for me traveling means saving every single penny after paying bills and meticulously planning every detail about the next adventure.

I grew up in Jamaica, West Indies until I was about 10 years old. When I first moved to America, wow, I fell in love. We first moved to Brooklyn, New York and it was there that I realized I wanted to travel the world. There are so many people living in NYC from all different backgrounds. So many cultural communities in NYC that just living there and going out to eat is like taking a trip to another world. Living in Florida is amazing also, nothing better than living where people vacation.

For this blog I plan to post about my travels abroad but also about local adventures.

Be sure to follow me because this year will be filled with trips around the world and back. Below are maps of places I’ve been so far…got a long way to go!
